My Background

Personal Profile

I have been blessed with a colourful career which has given me unique perspectives and insights into education. I have around 27 years teaching experience and 22 years in educational management roles. I have worked in South Africa, Eswatini and Mozambique successfully. And I have experience leading schools using the CAPS curriculum, the Cambridge Curriculum and the American curriculum.

Leading a school is one of the most complex professions in existence. A school leader needs multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted expertise and skill-sets. I believe my career has given me opportunities to develop these skill-sets as I have first-hand knowledge of leading a K-12 school across almost every facet of school leadership and administration.

I am intimately aware of change-management in education and the power of transformational leadership.

I have never shied away from learning and growing as a leader, and so this has meant that I have an array of skillsets, experience and knowledge in the field of Education Management.

I am very happy to find opportunities to allow others to benefit from the skills and lessons I have learnt through the years.
